I was very exited when Restaurant Week (RW) is On. Hence I checked the website and did not delay anymore to book my lunch at RIMNAAM, The Oberoi, MG Road Bangalore. I did not miss the opportunity to eat my favorite cuisine in the best Thai food restaurant in the city.As soon as i entered the hotel, a nice lady guided me towards to Rim Naam and the entrance was looking like a cave with a lot of green around. As soon as I entered, I felt so at peace with the cool breeze. I felt WOW, my favorite cuisine in Serene, Alfresco dining. A nice view of greenery and a nice cool breeze from gardens and lily pond with Koi fishes around made me feel a real romantic date. Bamboo tress around and natural fragrances from bushes made just more than happy.
Staff was very friendly and easy with open interiors other than just roof. Open kitchen gives the aromatic feel of sauces and pastes of Thai.
Seating is so spacious and attractive and calm.
And we were handed over the special 3 course Restaurant Week Menu.
After reading the entire menu, we ended up ordering only the signature dishes.
We chose, appetizers, Man Thod Samros and Kai Hor Bai Toey.
Man Thod Samros is a vegetarian appetizer where crisp Potatoes are tossed in sweet sour sauce with crushed peanuts.
Kai Hor Bai Toey is a Non vegetarian appetizer, marinated chicken is wrapped in Pandanus leaf, deep-fried and with Sesame, Tamarind, Ginger dip.
We ordered the Mock-tails off the RW menu:
Sunshine mock-tail and Pineapple coconut milk Mock tail:
Mock-tails were light and refreshing.
We ordered Spicy Keang Kiew Wan (Thai Green curry) and Pea Jeramt Neuang Manao.
Thai green curry , i personally wanted more spicy with Thai Spices. Galangal, Basil, Palm sugar, Thai Aubergine, Cucumber and Thai green curry paste, all boiled in coconut milk, Lovely spicy Thai green curry served with Thai sticky rice. Just loved the Aroma of rice and Thai green curry.
Pla Jeramet Nueng Manao is a delicate dish of steamed fish with Lime fresh coriander and Garlic, went very well with both the staples Pad Thai noodles and Khao suai, thai Jasmine rice.
Phat Thai is the rice based noodles, with Tamarind, bean sprouts, Tofu, and vegetables was tastier with the fish Main course. The quantity and quality of the food was amazingly at its best.
Finally we jumped to the deserts,
Polla Mai , The tropical fruit salad of Bananas, pears, apples, fresh figs with a dollop of Vanilla ice cream.
Sanghkaya Maprow Orn is the Thai special coconut custard, with the flavors of lemongrass and Pandanus.
It was very nice experience to be here and staff and food quality and taste is just super. Rim Naam- Thai food at its Best. Rim Naam indicates, ” By Water” in Thai. The Best Thai experience in all the ways.
