Felt really lucky to attend this time Foodiesden meet up, as i visited an Oscar winner;-) ;-).Yes its an Oscar winning Gujarati Snack-let called LOCHA. As of now, i tasted  Gujju food very few times especially Khaman dhokla and nothing other than that.

Indian Food is very famous for its diversified food culture. Every place has its own significant staple food and its varities are cooked in different forms. Gujarath is famous for its  culture, Vegetarianism, food and their hospitality. Gujarati cuisine is famous for its food in all courses. Thalis, Breakfast, Sweets, Side dishes, snacks etc.,.Their famous side side dishes (Farsan) are Khaman (dhokla), Kachodi, Locha etc.,. and  Nasta ( Breakfasts) are  Khakra, Fafda etc.,. and Gujarathi Thali. By recollecting all things i heard majorly, food being sweet, i left to Locha, in BTM 2nd stage.

Locha is very chilling and colourful Joint with nice oneliners on ceiling too.  Interiors look very cute and catchy and a small joint. with menu, serving counter, billing counter, a fresh Gola counter and behind, a Jalebi counter. Mr. Dhimar, one of its founders, was very helpful in serving and handling us 😉 😉

Pricing is easy and quantity is very much filling.

We started with Dhokla: Cake of steamed Dal Batter which is served with Sev, Onions, Fresh Coriander, tempering of Asafoetida, Mustard seeds with freshly fried and salted green chilies.

Gujju special Samosa: Its filling is sweet based. Chana dal ( Chickpeas, Coriander, and a little sugar).

Locha: It is a snack, made of grounded Chickpeas ( Chana and Black gram ( Urad) and rice flakes (Poha), steam baked with a drizzle of oil, salt and pepper. In this Outlet, along with regular Locha, scezuan Locha, Peri Peri Locha is also available.

Scezuan Locha

Pattice: Its a root vegetable ( Mostly potato) based shallow fried dumpling. Filling will be sweet and mild spicy.

Khakra: Thin crakers made of flour and a little amount of oil. Served in here with Onions, Sev, grated cheese and green chillies.

Fafda with sweet kadi: Chick Pea flour Crackers served with Kad ( Besan flour, buttermilk and sweet and mild spicy).

Sweet Kachodi:

Poha: This is real special for its sweet and spice taste. One of my Favorites.

Patra: Steamed Colocassia leaf roll.

Barf Na GOLA:

Barf NI GOLA: Every one knows Gola, Gujarathi Gola is much special with its dressing and quantity. We tried ordering Mango, Litchi and Black Current.
